2011 Brought New Tables, & 2012 New Chairs to Come

2011 was a great year at the Theatre. With the help of the Gallery Group, we have new tables for the front of the auditorium. The Gallery folks decorated them and used pictures of events and programs in the past - they have been a big hit for folks to look at and remember some of the wonderful programs that have been presented in the years gone by. We are looking into new chairs to go with the tables and hope they will be in place soon.
Lots of events coming up, some new bluegrass bands, some old favorites, a new type of dramatic presentation.

A murder mystery with audience participation. by Ayn Rand
Tickets - $8.00 Adults , $ 5.00 Senior and Students
PLOT Bjorn Faulkner has swindled millions of dollars from investors, by investing cash he did not have in order to control the gold trade. In the wake of a crash, he is facing bankruptcy despite the injection of money by Mr. John Graham Whitfield, a prominent banker whose daughter, Nancy Lee, married Faulkner shortly after the loan.
On the night of January 16th, Karen Andre and Bjorn are in the penthouse at the top of the Faulkner Building in New York when Faulkner falls to his death. The purpose of the play is to decide if it may have been a suicide - or murders.
Karen Andre is placed on trial on charges of having murdered Faulkner. She is being prosecuted by Mr. Flint and defended by Mr. Stevens.
Within the three acts of the play, the two lawyers call upon a number of witnesses, including doctors, security of the Faulkner building, private investigators, the coroner, and a notorious gangster, where each of their testimonies build to contradictory tories.
Cast is combination of men and women - who present to jury; picked from the audience.

A real plus for the Town Hall Opry to have this award group stop on their travels. Their duet singing has won many awards and the band goes to the very core of traditional bluegrass roots. Be sure to be at the Town Hall Theatre on this night.
