Jericho Arts Council, Inc. Fine Arts Show
The 2010

Eligibility: Artists 18 years and older are eligible to enter their original artwork, provided the entry has never previously been entered in this show.

Prizes:
Best of Show: $200        People's Choice: $50        Daniel Tennant Award (for realism): $50

IN EACH CATEGORY:
1st Prize: $100
2nd Prize: $50
3rd Prize: $20
Honorable Mention: $10

Note: The Best of Show cannot also take an additional award. An artist can receive one award in several categories, but it is up to the judges' discretion whether an artist can receive more than one award in the same category. If there are insufficient entries in a category, the judges may adjust the awards for that category. Artists may enter a maximum of two pieces per category.

Dates: Please Note New Schedule this year. The show will open and close on a Saturday, rather than a Sunday
Exhibit Hours: May 1 through May 8: 1:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Reception: Sunday, May 8th, 3:00 p.m.Awards given at 3:30 p.m.

Artwork drop-off / Registration times:
Saturday, April 24: 9:00 12:00 noon
Sunday, April 25: 2:00 5:00 p.m..
Monday, April 26: 4:00 7:00 p.m.
Drop off entries at the Town Hall Theater, upstairs at the Town Hall.
The Town Hall is on Main St. (Rte 7) in Bainbridge, across from the Olde Jericho Tavern.

Pre-registration is recommended: Save Time and Money!
Pre-Register by mailing your entry forms and fees to: Lynn Thomas at 966 County Rte 38, Bainbridge, NY 13733 Pre-registrations must be received by April 23, 2010

Entry Fees:
Pre-registration: $10 for the first piece in each category, $8 for the second piece in each category.
Registration at time of drop-off: $12 for the first piece in each category, $10 for the second piece.

Pre-registrations must be received by April 23 in order to be eligible for the pre-registration discounted fee.
Registrations received on or after April 23 will be charged the full registration fee.

Checks may be made out to the Jericho Arts Council.

Artwork must be properly wired for hanging. Framing will be considered by judges as part of the overall presentation of the work. Work not properly wired for hanging may not be included in the show.

Identification: The Artist's Copy of the entry form (provided in this prospectus) must be attached securely to the back of every piece.

A "Family Style" Show: Artwork containing nudity or deemed offensive will be rejected at the discretion of the coordinator and judges.

Liability: The Jericho Arts Council, Inc., disclaims responsibility for any loss or damage to artwork entered in the show, as all entries will be handled with reasonable care. Registration of artwork will imply agreement with this disclaimer.

Sale of artwork: We cannot sell for you, but will notify you of someone's interest. All pieces must remain on display until the exhibit ends. The artist is responsible for removal of all entries, sold or not.

Removal of art: Artists must remove their work after the reception on May 8th , from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. Please present a note at registration if your work is to be removed by someone other than yourself.

A New Opportunity: If you enclose your business card with your registration, we will include a copy of it in the pages of our Art Show Program.
