Call for Artists
Jericho Arts Council Gallery Committee Regatta Row 2026 Regatta Row is now accepting applications from artists who wish to participate in Regatta Row’s 11th year! After a short break we’re back, with twelve Full sized Adirondack Canoe Paddle Chairs and eight petite Children’s Adirondack Canoe Paddle chairs. The project is open to all artists from the acclaimed to the amateur. Painters, sculptors, craftsmen, multimedia artists and other wildly creative people are encouraged to apply! The Jericho Arts Council (JAC) of Bainbridge hopes to sponsor at least 20 juried Artists for a five week public sidewalk exhibition of art (April 22-May23), where selected artists will be able to express creativity upon our unique Adirondack paddle chairs, following our Theme “Americana - 250 Years” - a non-political celebration. We invite you to creatively honor the History and Art of America.
JAC will provide artists with a handmade, unprimed chair, paint, primer & topcoat, and a stipend of $150 for a full-sized chair, and $125 for a children’s chair. Cash awards of $50 to $100 will be granted in five categories. Chairs will be picked up in Bainbridge, NY (unless other arrangements are made) in late January. Completed project will be delivered to Bainbridge, NY on or before April 18, 2026. Artists will be promoted with bio’s on the JAC website as well as in a media conference, regional press releases, posters, social media and on maps of the Art Trail. For five weeks, photos of each creation will be posted on the website along with the opportunity for bidding in advance of the Live Auction slated to take place on Saturday May 23rd at the Annual General Clinton Canoe Regatta. Art will be displayed on Bainbridge sidewalks from April 22 until Memorial Day weekend. Bainbridge, like dozens of other Towns and villages in this area, is attempting a grass roots revitalization of the community and this is one of the efforts to support the JAC. Proceeds from the May 23rd Art Auction will go to the Jericho Arts Council to support our Artists and to create future events.
