Regatta Row 2026
April 22-May 23
Jericho Arts Council's Gallery Committee presents Regatta Row 2026 for the 11th year! After a short break we’re back, with twelve Full sized Adirondack Canoe Paddle Chairs and eight petite Children’s Adirondack Canoe Paddle chairs. The project is open to all artists from the acclaimed to the amateur. Painters, sculptors, craftsmen, multimedia artists and other wildly creative people were encouraged to apply! The 18 juried Artists will present their work for a four week public sidewalk exhibition of art (April 22-May22). The selected artists will express creativity upon our unique Adirondack paddle chairs, following our Theme “Americana - 250 Years” - a non-political celebration, honoring the History and Art of America. Also, students from Bainbridge-Guilford and Greene will have painted decorative paddles in the shop windows in the village.
For four weeks, photos of each creation will be posted on the website along with the opportunity for bidding in advance of the Live Auction slated to take place at 4pm Saturday May 23rd at the Annual General Clinton Canoe Regatta. Art will be displayed on Bainbridge sidewalks from April 22 until Memorial Day weekend. The Student painted paddles will be online auctioned. Bainbridge, like dozens of other Towns and villages in this area, is attempting a grass roots revitalization of the community and this is one of the efforts to support the JAC. Proceeds from the Art Auctions will go to the Jericho Arts Council to support the Arts and our Artists and to create future events.
Questions can be directed to the JAC Gallery Committee “Regatta Row 2026” at [email protected] or by calling Rachel Hares at 607-643-2211.
